Connect MoveMate to OpenClaw

OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent you run yourself. Add MoveMate with one command and sign in once. Your agent can then read your training, plan sessions, and check your progress on whatever schedule you give it.

Before you start

  • OpenClaw installed and running.
  • A MoveMate account. No account yet? One is created when you sign in for the first time.
  • A workout or two logged in the MoveMate app on iPhone or Android, so there's something to ask about. You can also start from an empty account and plan from the chat.

    Add MoveMate

    Run the command. It registers MoveMate as a Streamable HTTP server that signs in with OAuth.

    Sign in

    Run the login command. OpenClaw prints MoveMate's authorization link: open it, sign in and approve access.

    Browser on another machine? Copy the code value from the address you land on after approving and run openclaw mcp login movemate --code <code>.

    Check and ask

    Probe the connection, or run openclaw mcp status --verbose to see what OpenClaw saved. Then ask your agent “What's planned in MoveMate for this week?”

Manage access

  • Remove MoveMate from OpenClaw's MCP config with openclaw mcp unset movemate.
  • The MoveMate app lists Claude and ChatGPT connections under AI settings. Other clients don't show up there yet, so to revoke one on our side, email support and name the client.

If setup doesn't work

  • Run openclaw mcp doctor movemate --probe. The URL should be exactly https://api.movemate.app/mcp and auth should be oauth.
  • Status says authorization is required: run openclaw mcp login movemate again.
  • MoveMate has no API keys or device-code sign-in. The agent needs one browser approval, then renews access by itself.
