Connect MoveMate to OpenAI dots

A dot is OpenAI's always-on agent inside ChatGPT. It shares ChatGPT's plugins, so after you install MoveMate in ChatGPT, your dot can plan sessions, log finished workouts and answer questions about your progress too.

Before you start

  • Access to dots. OpenAI decides availability by plan and region; check OpenAI's help center if you don't see your dot.
  • A MoveMate account. No account yet? One is created when you sign in for the first time.
  • A workout or two logged in the MoveMate app on iPhone or Android, so there's something to ask about. You can also start from an empty account and plan from the chat.

    Install MoveMate in ChatGPT

    Open the MoveMate plugin page in ChatGPT, install it, then sign in with your MoveMate account and approve access. The ChatGPT guide has every step with screenshots of what to expect.

    Switch MoveMate on for your dot

    Open your dot's profile, then Customize → Plugins. It's the same plugin list as ChatGPT, so MoveMate is already there. Connect it if it isn't on.

    Ask your dot

    Send something like “What did my training look like this month?” or “Plan an upper-body session for tomorrow based on last week.”

Manage access

  • Turn MoveMate off under Plugins in ChatGPT or in your dot.
  • Your dot uses ChatGPT's connection, so disconnecting ChatGPT in the MoveMate app (AI settings) stops both at once.

If setup doesn't work

  • No Plugins screen in your dot: dots may not be available on your plan or in your region yet.
  • MoveMate isn't in the list: install it from the plugin page in ChatGPT first, then reopen your dot's plugins.
  • MoveMate signs in with OAuth, so you never need an API key or token. Type your sign-in details only on MoveMate's own page, never into a chat.
