# MoveMate > MoveMate is a strength-training app (iOS/Android). It exposes an MCP (Model Context > Protocol) server so AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can read a connected > user's training stats, schedule planned workouts and log finished ones on their behalf. ## MCP integration - Integration overview: https://movemate.app/ai - Connect from Claude: https://movemate.app/connect/claude - Claude connector directory: https://claude.ai/directory/movemate-gym-workout-tracker - ChatGPT plugin "MoveMate: Gym Workout Tracker" (official listing in the ChatGPT plugin directory, install from here): https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6a7b250ad83c8191a519b763350af4e9 - How to connect MoveMate to ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client (setup steps and config snippets for each): https://movemate.app/connect - How to install the MoveMate plugin in ChatGPT: https://movemate.app/connect/chatgpt - OpenAPI description of the MCP server (transport, OAuth, tool list with scopes): https://movemate.app/openapi.json - MCP server endpoint: https://api.movemate.app/mcp - Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591); discovery at https://api.movemate.app/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server and https://api.movemate.app/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource ## What the MCP server can do - Read a connected user's profile, training stats, exercise progression, and personal records - Search MoveMate's exercise library (including the user's own custom exercises) - Read a workout's full contents (exercises, sets, targets, supersets) - Save a workout to the user's own workouts ("My workouts") and edit a saved workout; sessions scheduled from it show the change - Schedule a planned workout in the app on a chosen date, either built from library exercises or from an existing saved or library workout; reschedule or cancel it - Log workouts the user has already finished, whole sessions at a time (up to 20 per call): sessions since the user joined MoveMate from the last 14 days, and past sessions from before they joined (a short history moved over from notes), up to 300 in total through the MCP server - Free accounts are limited to 10 upcoming planned workouts, 10 saved workouts and 20 custom exercises created through the MCP server; workouts logged since joining count toward the free plan's finished-workout limit, like workouts finished in the app (sessions from before joining do not); writes are rate-limited per user ## What it does not do - Log sets/reps during a live workout (stays in the mobile app) - Import long histories or export files from other apps (use the in-app import below) - Handle payment or subscriptions (stays in the mobile app) - Edit or delete historical workouts ## App - Website: https://movemate.app - Workout import (in the mobile app, not the MCP server): users bring their history from pasted notes, photos or screenshots of a log, or a Hevy/Strong/FitNotes CSV export (Profile → Import workouts, or during onboarding), review a preview and save it; repeated sessions can be saved as their own workouts.
