Hevy alternative

A Hevy alternative that works inside ChatGPT and Claude

Hevy is a popular workout tracker, and if it works for you, great. If you're looking for an alternative, MoveMate covers the same core — fast set logging, a big exercise library, PRs and progress — and adds one thing that changes how you plan: it connects to ChatGPT and Claude.

Example

What are my PRs, and which lift has stalled?
Top PRs: deadlift 160 kg × 3, squat 125 kg × 5, bench 85 kg × 5. Overhead press hasn't moved in five weeks — want me to add a heavier triple day and an extra shoulder session?

What you get with MoveMate

  • Set-by-set logging with weight, reps, a rest timer that starts itself, and supersets.
  • An exercise library with hundreds of movements, instructions and muscle targeting, plus custom exercises.
  • Personal records, estimated 1RM per lift, weekly volume and sets per muscle group.
  • Ready-made workouts for different goals, or build your own.
  • Available on iPhone and Android, free to start.

The difference: your AI assistant can use your data

MoveMate connects to ChatGPT and Claude. Once connected, the chat you already use can answer questions from your actual logs — "how was my last week?", "am I progressing on bench?" — and plan a session that lands straight in the app.

Instead of a separate chatbot inside the tracker, your training history follows you into the assistant you use every day.

Switching is simple

  • Install MoveMate and start logging from your next session.
  • Rebuild your usual routines from the library, or ask ChatGPT or Claude to recreate them for you.
  • Connect your assistant once and let it plan from there.

Questions

Can I import my Hevy history?
There's no automatic import at the moment. Most people start fresh with their current working weights; your history builds up again within a few weeks of logging.
Is MoveMate free?
Yes. Logging workouts, the exercise library, and connecting MoveMate to ChatGPT or Claude all work on a free account. An optional Pro subscription adds extra features in the app.
What can the AI see?
Only your MoveMate training data: workouts, sets, personal records, progression, planned sessions and the body profile you filled in. It never sees your password or payment details, and it asks before creating or changing a workout.
Can I disconnect it later?
Yes, any time — from MoveMate's AI settings or from the connector settings in ChatGPT or Claude. Disconnecting revokes access immediately.
